- Community Housing Association (CHA) was formed with the primary focus of acquiring, building and supporting affordable housing communities across the U.S. that will improve the lives of its residents for decades to come
- CHA’s management team and its affiliated entities have a longstanding track record of closing complex transactions in markets throughout the U.S. When needed, CHA brings the resources necessary to perform a substantial renovation of each property so that residents enjoy modernized homes and continued affordability
- CHA is proficient and knowledgeable in all HUD programs and will consider acquisition of multifamily properties in all aspects of the affordable housing arena. A particular focus will be on Section 8(BB) transfers, a HUD tool for preserving budget authority for project-based rental assistance whereby the remaining budget authority of a project-based Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) contract can be transferred to another contract (either a new or existing Section 8 HAP contract)
- From time to time, CHA may also consider opportunistic real estate investments outside of the affordable housing realm
- We are a highly capitalized firm, with the ability to make property owners cash offers with no financing contingencies. The ability to close quickly often enables us to acquire properties at deep discounts to appraised values.
